Gone but not forgotten

van horse

I have been really quite for a week or so as I have been getting over a loss.

It sounds ridiculous I know.

But anyone who knows us will understand how much we loved the thing we have said goodbye to.

Our beloved campervan was sold last week and it’s been like losing a family pet for me.

My husband has decided it was time for us to part company with our trusty friend after it has served us so well for over 8 years.

We have so many happy memories it was so hard to say goodbye.

Oh Sarah what a fabulous post, sounds like you’ve created some amazing memories over the years – just love the photos! Must have been really hard to say goodbye but as the hubby says you’ll get a bigger and better one. Lovely post, thank you so much for sharing with #whatsthestory (great to meet you and your eyelashes at the MAD’s too!)

Awww that’s really sweet and actually sad.

I recently had to say goodbye to buzz – my 10 year old car I’d had from new.

I was sad to see him go (I may have cried) but now I have a much better, safer car.

And soon, like you said, you’ll have a bigger better van and create new memories. See?

Looks like much fun was had… so much more to come in a bigger and better one I reckon!! But my mini is still the best car I’ve ever owned, I kinda know what you mean đŸ™‚

I know what you mean. My first car was a brown mini clubman and I cried when the garage condemned it and would let me drive it away as it was to dangerous. Loved that little mini. Think it’s the amazing sense of freedom u get from your first motor.

yes you do form attachments to objects you own, especially when they have played such an important role in your family life.

I would love a campervan so much and this post has made me want it even more. Sounds like you’ve had some wonderful moments in her but you have bigger and better ones to create ahead! #WhatstheStory
