Now summer is well and truly behind us and G&T’s in a field somewhere are a distant memory, we’ve been invited to vote for our favorite festival of 2013 by Festivalkidz.
We’re lucky enough to have been to our fair share this year through work or fabulously generous friends.
All have been great in their own little ways.
You can vote for your favorite family festival on the FestivalKidz website. It’s a great resource if you want to check out what other parents think before you take the plunge. You can also vote for festivals in general at UK Festival Awards for a chance to win some tickets next year (however I was disappointed that 3 of our all time favorite festivals are nowhere to be seen on their list of nominees).
So which was the best for us?
They did an outstanding job this year on pretty much every count (perhaps the compost loos could do with a little attention, but they are compost loos after all).
I love that they are the first ‘no plastic water bottle’ festival with FREE chilled water at every bar. This year prevented 10,000 plastic bottles heading to land fill and raised £3k for water aid charity.
Brilliant recycling scheme encourages pretty much no rubbish across the site.
An outstanding spa for a little escape and luxury.
The silliest of entertainment.
Fabulous non stop fancy dress.
And smiley happy people.
Another outstanding year @Shambala
11 out of 10 from us.
(this is not a sponsored post. We were luck enough to go to lots of festivals this year including Glastonbury, Camp Bestival, Shambala, LoveSupreme Elderflower Fields, Over The Moon, and a couple of other and this is just our personal family opinion)
