My brilliant friend Mrs Gammon and I have joined #TeamHonk.
Yes, we have finally lost it and can think of nothing better to do on a Monday morning that roller skate 4 miles along Brighton seafront naked…
Only joking!
As if?
It’s all true except the naked bit. Just wanted to get your attention.
On the 20th January we will be taking part in the #TeamHonkrelay from Land’s End to John O Groats for Sports Relief.
Over 150 bloggers will run, walk, roller skate, swim, push buggies, hijack trains and pogo stick nearly 3000 miles over 6 weeks.
#TeamHonkBrighton is formed by lots of lovely local bloggers including Katie from Hurrah for Gin, Mrs Chic from Bare Chic, Anya from Older Single Mum, Chelle from Social Sparkle, Sophie from Cider with Sophie and of course, my partner in crime, the lovely Maddie from Gammon and Chips.
A veritable feast of Brighton bloggers!
Of course Maddie and I would have been more than prepared to do it naked but the risk of jeopardising the whole relay by getting arrested was just too high. Couldn’t live with myself if we ended up in the buff in Brighton nick with the baton and ruined the whole thing!
Instead we promise to pop on our silliest fancy dress and hit the sea front for our 4 mile stint. Come rain or shine. We will be there.
Thanks all
Lovely start to this whole new adventure and looking forward to joining you (read celebrating) at some point. And skating is sport. Defo x
I would so love to do this with you! Sadly I wont be there till half term! I am driving the Cornwall leg though in Coombemill farm get up, sadly too far to cycle or skate. Please give me a tweet then. Good luck ladies. *Honk*
Will do! Honk Honk!
Rollerskating – very cool and such fun! 4 miles though – FOUR MILES?! Respect!
Jolly wonderful to have you on board x
Thanks. We have now realised that we may have been a little over ambitious and are going to Micro Scooter instead. Last time I roller skated it took me 3 months to recover! X
Honk honk! That’s awesome! Very well done – 4 miles on skates is really hard going (bonkers) you’re amazing! (Mad!)
Good luck team honk Brighton!
Yay! Go Brighton! And roller skating that far? Hats off to you! I’m part of the London team and I can’t wait 🙂
We are now regretting promising roller skates. Stupid idea! Last time I went to a roller disco it took about 3 months to recover! Best of luck with your leg. HONK!
Four miles on skates would be incredible!! Have I seen this is now changing to scooting?!! That is going to make for some epic pics. Can’t wait to see them.
Brilliant! Can’t wait to cheer on Team Brighton! Thank you for linking to PoCoLo x
Thanks #PoCoLo
4 miles on roller skates….well done lovely ladies and very good luck! Stay safe out there x
Thanks. Starting to get nervous now. What have I agreed to?
LOL now I’m sure there’s a body confidence blog post in there somewhere. What an amazing idea 🙂 (the skating not the naked now lol)
