Human kind #NotInMyName

Stop WarI don’t know much about politics.

I have no idea why most wars start.

I don’t understand religion or the reasons so many humans disagree.

What I have always understood, from a very young age, is that violence is wrong.

WAR IS NOT THE ANSWER.

We all need to be human kind.

As humans, we are supposed to be the species that has evolved the most. Yet all around the world, we are causing each other intense pain and sadness to fulfill our own desires, what ever they may be. I just don’t get it.

Tomorrow, a group of mostly overprivileged individuals will decide if we, as a nation, should bomb Syria. How can this even be up for discussion? When is it ever OK to kill innocent people, who’s only crime is to be in the wrong place at the wrong time?

I just don’t get it.

#notinmyname human kindA friend shared this picture today on her Facebook page. While others are busy worrying about missing out on the latest Cyber Monday crap, or scrambling for tickets to the Adele concert(?), people in Syria are waiting to hear if yet more violence is heading their way. Completely oblivious to the chaos and insanity of humans, these doves are happily sharing what they have with a random pigeon, surrounded by shit.

In less than 48 hours our country could be joining this madness. Let’s not be the 13th country to bomb these poor defenceless people.

Are we really ready for World War 3?

PLEASE #dontbombSyria

You can show your support for humankind and vote against this war against humanity in these petitions to the government online here and here

These petitions DO work. Please join us and make your voice heard.

We are humans. Let’s be human kind.
