Beauty products are a world that seems to have passed me by in life. I’ve never really bought make-up (unless it’s the sparkly glitter variety), and a large pot of one-cream-for-all moisturiser is generally the extent of my beauty regime.
Can you tell?
I was recently asked to test drive some products from NatureBee who have recently launched in the UK. Already well established in New Zealand, Australia and the US, Nature Bee is the world leader in broken-cell wall ‘potentiated’ bee pollen and has been producing potentiated pollen products since 1997.
Studies have found that Potentiated Bee Pollen contains a huge range of nutrients including, 27 vitamins and amino acids, 28 minerals, 11 enzymes and co-enzymes, and 11 carbohydrates and antioxidants. Now, I have no idea what that means but it sounds pretty impressive
The NatureBee pollen comes in capsules which you can swallow of break open to sprinkle on your cereal or in smoothies to improve health and wellbeing. I haven’t tried these yet but these but you can find out more about all their products at naturebee.com
NatureBee have a wide range of products including sun cream, potentiated bee pollen capsules and a bee venom mask. Bee venom mask? Really? I had to give this a go.
How exactly do you get venom from a bee? It’s not like you can go up to it and ask politely. ‘Please can I have some venom Mr Bee?’
According to the website, the Nature C Bee Venom Mask is a breakthrough in anti-aging and anti-wrinkle skin care designed to give you instant results. It’s not cheap, but with claims like this, it’s got to give the big pot of Nivea cream currently on my dressing table a run for its money.
And it certainly did. When it arrived I had a sudden eco panic about the fact that this pot of cream actually contained bee venom.
Eco guilt alert!
Panic over. Here’s what Nature Bee say:
Jeff Cook, founder of NatureBee, said: “The honey bee is a fascinating creature and no bees are harmed in the extraction of their venom. Our business is bees and we take great care to ensure they thrive.
“The venom is painstakingly collected, with an electronic collector plate placed at the entrance of the hive. A small current is run through the plate which stimulates the bees to sting the sheet, depositing their venom onto a sheet of glass, where it is left to dry and later collected.
“Bee products have been harvested for thousands of years and the range of healthcare benefits they provide, from anti-inflammatory to anti-ageing properties is simply extraordinary.”
Phew! On it goes.
Now, I am 41 years old and have partied reasonably hard over the year. My life has hardly been clean living and my face shows signs of plenty of fun.
before and after a 1 month trial.
How does it work?
NatureBee Bee Venom Mask fools the skin into thinking it has been stung (it’s pain-free – don’t worry). This stimulates the body to produce naturally occurring chemicals collagen and elastin. It contains over 30 different properties that help fight the effects of skin aging with a combination of Bee Venom, Manuka Honey UMF 10+ and Beta-carotene to combat damaged, aged skin – whilst the soothing aromatherapy oils sooth and calm the skin.
I have to say it feels pretty good. I’ve no idea how this compares to other products on the market but lots of celebrities testify to the effects of using bee venom and NatureBee offer a 100% money back guarantee so totally worth giving it a go.
I’ve also tested out the Nature C eye gel which has really helped cool my itchy hay fever eyes over the last few weeks. It’s something I suffer from ever year and although the gel is sold a solution to fine lines and crow’s feet, but it’s actually stopped me wanting to claw my eyes out.
NatureBee currently have a special offer online where you get a FREE Nature C Eye Gel when you buy the Bee Venom Mask.
