Welcome to my blog
It’s all about my quest to find that perfect family moment.
You know the one?
The romantic, hazy edged childhood memory of happy days gone by… smiling faces and warm fuzzy feelings…
…a field somewhere – if only life were that simple!
About me
I live in Brighton with lovely Rob (a name given to him by my friends, not me), our two daughters Daisy and Hunny. I have several part time jobs and am on an eco-warrior mission to become self-sufficient by 50. We spend our summer weekends going on adventures in our campervan. Winter is spent getting grouchy with each other and counting the days till we can be in a field somewhere again.
We love reviewing anything family related and will always give an honest opinion to hopefully help others.
Daisy aged 9, loves anything creative or musical. Hunny age 4, loves films, books and puzzles (when she’s not having another one of her ‘melt down moments’)
Hmmm… I’m almost 40 (eek!), have an allotment growing weeds, love camping, bit of a hippy I guess, go to lots of festivals, probably need therapy, and have amazing friends who I could not survive without. Oh, and I LOVE dressing up!

I’ll meet you there.”

Always up for a little wrong doing in a field somewhere with you Box Girl.
Ha ha – it’s supposed to be ‘beyond’ wrong doing… but I guess I’ll make an exception on this occasion! Here’s to more Box antics this summer. Happy Mother’s Day, my lovely! Xxx

Hi, I’ve done this some time ago. Is there still a problem?

Chilled in a Field Festival returns to Bentley Wildfowl & Motor Museum on a triumphant note this year. We’re taking it up another level this summer to put on an even more magical, shiny and above all fun weekend for party people of all ages who like to play all day (and dance all night).
Chilled in a Field Festival embraces a play together ethos and boasts an array of free day time activities for adults, children and families. Expect circus flair, shimmering bubbles, nature walks, science experiments, scales and sequins. Elsewhere on site, campers can hang out with fancy flamingos, explore hobbit houses in the woods or ride the miniature railway.
Live bands will play all day, with the magical woodland stage given over to acoustic sets. Later, campers can get their groove on to DJs from some of the UK’s top underground parties and party all night at a silent disco rave in the woods.
The event takes place from Friday 31st July to Sunday 2nd August 2015.
Camping, campervan and tailored glamping facilities are on offer. Come and join the party, it’s going to be an amazing, fun-filled weekend.
