We spent last weekend at Elderflower Fields Family Festival at it’s beautiful new home in Ashdown Forest.
Although Elderflower Fields is very much billed as the focus being ‘all about the kids’ this year I decided that us grown ups weren’t going to miss out.

I have been really quite for a week or so as I have been getting over a loss.
It sounds ridiculous I know.
But anyone who knows us will understand how much we loved the thing we have said goodbye to.

Now that we are firmly back in the ‘real’ word of school, work and all that other boring stuff my heart is starting to sink a little. The seasons are changing and someone has already mentioned to dreaded ‘C’ word.
So I thought I’d cheer myself up on this wet and dreary day and reminisce about where our amazing summer holiday started this year.

We have decided to visit my sister next year. She lives on the other side of the world so it’s not a family holiday we are going to do very often. In fact, it’s unlikely that we are going to make it again during the time my kids are still at school.
